Feature or Product?

Absolute reliance on partnerships

To balance the study, once again, I used Google’s renowned search feature to locate the definition of Product.

So, my conclusion is that Orderscape is both a product and a feature. In today’s world, businesses rely on partnerships to make, distribute and sell products.¬†Search is actually a function/feature of Google if you think about it.

  • The smartphone is a feature of the Internet because they rely on one another to create value
  • Any consumer product for sale at a store on on the Internet is really a feature of the product
  • A pizza is a feature of a restaurant

What we offer is a service and product that relies on a software middleware parter to process. We originate food orders using Facebook Messenger, Amazon Alexa and soon, any telephone and need the middleware software company, a restaurant, payment partners, banking institutions and the Internet to make Orderscape work. In 2017, partnerships are the absolutely necessary and key success factors that relying on partners synergistically and profitably. This is not a path to obsolescence any more than a restaurant being rendered obsolete by a grocery store.
